SCHOOL CLASSROOMS

5th Grade

Fifth Grade is  "preparing the way" during Advent, by looking for each other's "lights" , or good deeds and putting up flames to signify each one.  We are also looking at ourselves to determine our "lights", or talents that God has given to us to use for good and share with others.  Each day, during Advent, we reflect upon what we have done to do this as well as on the words of the daily Gospel and the life of a saint.  In addition, we are preparing a list of class gifts, positive qualities that we have noticed about each other during the school year.

On a lighter note, we have been preparing for Christmas by helping our K5 buddies write letters to Santa, making Giving Tree gift tags and decorating the tree with them, and creating a "Deck the Doors"  offering on one of our classroom doors.  This year's theme is Christmas carols and we are "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree", literally, as we have drawings of rock elves and a Santa, dancing around a tree.  So, a Blessed Christmas and many, many prayers from your friends in 5th Grade for a healthy, happy 2008!  AMEN!!  ALLELUIA!!!
